My sister made this for Anthony for his birthday.

My friend Chi-Yun had a show in Boston a couple years ago which featured a set of his work called “Tea Wars” that I fell in love with. Anthony and I bought this one:
And Chi-Yun graciously filled out the rest of the set. Unfortunately it took us all these years to finally get the work framed.
And then just hours from there to get it all hung up.
The quilt in this photo is called “Yellow Brick Road” and it is the first quilt top I ever finished. After I finally got the pictures hung up, I realized it’s time to actually quilt this quilt.
Not everyone was happy about this. Aesop thought the quilt top was perfect as is.
I had to peel him off of it to iron.
And shoo him away as I laid out the back, batting, and top and then pinned the three layers together.
He does not mind pins.
I am still able to move him enough to get a bit of quilting done.
Pay no attention to the cat hair. I’m really happy with how it looks on the back.
Only about 300 squares to quilt.
